12 months - 48 months
As
toddlers master the art of language and mobility, they
develop new ways to express their needs. They begin to
interact with peers, parents, and caregivers on a more
complex level. These new achievements contribute to the
toddler's overall feelings of self-esteem and confidence.
When we encourage children to solve problems, make choices,
and practice self-help skills, we empower them with independence
and self-reliance. Our toddler curriculum uses monthly themes
to promote language and communications skills, social and emotional
growth, early cognitive skills, and development.
Health, safety, and hygiene are given the highest priority. All
toddlers and staff members will have current immunizations,
and staff members will wear disposable gloves when changing
diapers. Toddlers must be fully potty
trained by the age of 36 months. Parents will be given a daily report on diaper
changes, feedings, naps and activities.
